Don’t Accept the Voice That Tears You Down — Choose the One That Builds You Up

By The Inner Voice Guy

“You would never speak to someone else the way you speak to yourself.”

Let that sink in.

You encourage others.

You support your friends.

You lift your kids, your colleagues, even strangers.

But what about you?

The words you whisper to yourself in the mirror…

The thoughts that rise when you mess up…

The voice that snaps when you’re tired, unsure, or just human.

💭 That voice matters.

And you get to choose which one you listen to.

🪞The Voice You’ve Been Tolerating

We don’t notice how cruel we’ve become — to ourselves.

We think:

“I should’ve done better.”

“Of course I ruined it again.”

“Look at me — who would want this?”

“I’m not strong enough. Not smart enough. Not enough.”

But here’s the truth I need you to hear today:

💥That voice isn’t truth. It’s training.

And you don’t have to accept it anymore.

🧠 You Were Never Meant to Be Your Own Worst Enemy

That critical inner voice? It didn’t come from nowhere.

It’s learned — from experiences, pain, pressure, perfectionism, even protection.

It’s the voice that thought it had to be hard on you to keep you safe, accepted, in control.

But what once helped you survive is now stopping you from actually living.

You’re allowed to outgrow the voice that got you here.

You’re allowed to choose the one that can take you forward.

🫶 The Voice That Builds You Up Is Already Inside You

Yes — there’s another voice in there.

A quieter one.

A kinder one.

She says things like:

“It’s okay to rest.”

“You didn’t fail — you learned.”

“You’re allowed to take up space.”

“You’re strong because you feel.”

“You’re still worthy — even when you’re a work in progress.”

✨ That voice might feel distant at first.

But she’s real. And she’s trainable.

And once she becomes your default?

Game. Changer. 🎯

🌸 From Self-Criticism to Self-Compassion

Here’s a shift I teach in every room I walk into:

You’re not soft when you’re kind to yourself.

You’re stronger, clearer, and more powerful.

Self-compassion doesn’t make you weak — it makes you resilient.

Try this the next time your inner critic shows up:

🔁 Pause.

🧏 Ask: “Is this voice helping me — or hurting me?”

📣 Then say (out loud if you must): “No. I don’t accept this voice anymore.”

💗 Now choose a better one. One that speaks like someone who actually loves you.

It might feel fake at first. But so did the critical voice — until you repeated it enough.

Now? You’re simply retraining your mind to be on your side.

💬 What the Inner Voice Guy Wants You to Know

I work with women, men, leaders, creators, dreamers — and deep down, everyone’s dealing with this.

It’s not about gender. It’s about the relationship you have with the voice in your head.

And here’s what I’ve learned:

You don’t become unstoppable by being hard on yourself.

You become unstoppable when your inner voice becomes your biggest ally.

Let me say that again for the people in the back:

🧠

A trained inner voice is your ultimate power source.

Not therapy. Not hustle. Not self-help books.

Just one trained voice — speaking life into every moment you live.

🌷Final Whisper

You don’t need to silence your inner critic forever.

You just need to stop giving her the microphone. 🎙️

The voice that builds you up?

She’s ready to speak.

You just have to choose her.

Every. Single. Time.
